Commemorating 100 years of the Representation of the People Act 1918

In Shining Stars worship, we discussed the number of exciting stories in the news headlines this week.  These included: the arrival of the Chinese Terracotta Warriors at the World Museum, Liverpool; Dippy the Diplodocus on Tour at the County Museum, Dorset and the opening ceremony of The Winter Olympics in Pyeong Chang.  We also talked through the fact that 100 years ago an Act of Parliament enabled women to vote for the first time whilst also opening up the vote to all men over 21.  During lunchtime, children were able to join staff in making rosettes as part of this commemoration.
